ZS Bundles Guide

Learn how to set up bundle offers, create upsells, and configure volume discounts to increase sales on your Shopify store — with no coding required.

📖 Introduction

ZS Bundles helps you create powerful offers that encourage shoppers to buy more and increase your average order value. Create quantity breaks, BOGO deals, multipacks, free gifts and upsell offers — all from one place.

Simply create your offer in the app, add the bundle widget to your product page, and the discount will be applied automatically at checkout when customers purchase the bundle.

To get started, understand the three main parts:

• ⚙️ Admin App — Create, customize, and manage all your bundle offers from the app dashboard.
• 🖥️ Storefront Widget — The bundle offer display that shoppers see on your product page and interact with while shopping.
• 🏷️ Automatic Discount — The discount is applied automatically at checkout when a customer qualifies for a bundle offer.

🚀 Installation

📥 Install the App

In the Shopify App Store, click Install and approve the installation for your store.

✅ Approve Permissions

ZS Bundles requires access to products and discounts to read your catalog and apply bundle pricing. These permissions are requested during the installation process.

📂 Open the App

After installation, find ZS Bundles under Apps in your Shopify admin sidebar and open the app.

🎁 Your First Bundle

Create your first bundle in just a few steps. From the app dashboard, click Create bundle deal to get started. You'll see a collection of Deal Tickets—pre-designed templates for different types of bundle offers.

🎟️ Choose a Deal Ticket

Select the deal type that best matches your promotion, such as Quantity Breaks, BOGO, or Free Gift. You can also choose a color theme from the top-right corner before clicking Use This Ticket.

📦 Select Products

In the Products section, choose where the bundle should apply. You can apply it to all products, specific products, or selected collections.

⚙️ Customize the Offer

Edit each offer tier by setting the quantity, discount, title, and badge. Use the live preview to see exactly how the bundle will appear to shoppers.

🚀 Publish Your Bundle

When you're happy with your setup, click Publish. Your bundle will go live, and the discount will be applied automatically at checkout whenever customers qualify for the offer.

🧩 Add the Bundle Widget to Your Store

Publishing a bundle makes it available, but you also need to add the bundle widget to your product page so shoppers can see and use your offers.

1. 🛍️ Open the Theme Editor - In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
   
   
   
2. 📄 Open a Product Template - From the template selector, open a Product page template.
   
   
   
3. ➕ Add the Bundle Widget -In the product section, click Add Block and select ZS Bundle.
   
   
   
4. 📍 Position and Save - Place the widget where you want it to appear (typically below the Add to Cart button), then click Save.
   
   
   

🧱 PageFly, GemPages & other page builders

Page builders lay out product pages with their own elements, so the theme's ZS Bundle block cannot be added there. Use the builder's code element instead:

1. Turn on the cart embed — In the theme editor open App embeds and switch on ZS Bundles cart. It carries the product data the widget needs.
2. Add a code element — In PageFly use HTML/Liquid; in GemPages use Custom Code. Paste:
   <div class="zs-bundle-slot"></div>
3. Publish the page and assign it to the product that has the bundle. The matching bundle loads by itself.

On a page that is not a product (a landing page), add the bundle's ID: <div class="zs-bundle-slot" data-bundle-id="YOUR-ID"></div>. The ID is shown under Settings in the bundle editor.

🏷️ Bundle Types

ZS Bundles offers multiple bundle types to help you create promotions for different sales goals. Each bundle starts with a ready-to-use template that you can fully customize.

📦 Products & Targeting

Choose where your bundle offer will appear from the Products section.

• All Products — Display the bundle on every product page. You can exclude specific products using exceptions.
• Selected Products — Apply the bundle only to the products you choose.
• Selected Collections — Display the bundle on all products within selected collections.

👥 Who sees an offer, where and when

Each bundle's Settings decide who it is for. Prices are checked again at checkout, so an offer meant for some customers cannot be claimed by others.

• Who can see this bundle — Everyone; signed-in customers only; customers with certain tags, a minimum spend or a minimum number of orders; B2B / wholesale customers only; or retail customers only (hidden from B2B).
• B2B customers — A customer approved in ZS B2B Gateway (tagged wholesale or b2b-approved) or buying for a company on Shopify B2B. Pick Retail customers only so a bundle saving does not stack on wholesale prices.
• Countries — Offer a bundle everywhere, only in the countries you pick, or everywhere except them. Checked on the page and again at checkout.
• Active dates — Set a start date and, if you want, an end date. A future bundle waits under the Scheduled tab and goes live by itself. The checkout discount follows the same dates.
• Discount name — The name shoppers see on the discount line in the cart and at checkout.
• Variants — Let shoppers pick a variant for each item (also on one-item tiers), hide sold-out variants, and hide the theme's own picker when the widget offers the choice.
• Pricing — Show the price per item, strike through the product's compare-at price, and show whole prices without decimals.
• Cart — Send shoppers straight to checkout after adding, and warn when fewer than ten are left.

💰 Discounts & Pricing

Customize the discount for each bundle tier to match your promotion. You can choose from the following discount types:

• No Discount — Display the regular product price. Ideal for the base or single-item option.
• Percentage Off — Apply a percentage discount, such as 15% off.
• Fixed Amount Off — Deduct a fixed amount from the product price.
• Specific Price — Set an exact price for the entire bundle tier.
• Buy X, get Y free — Set how many are bought and how many are free (for example buy 2, get 1). The tier holds all of them, and the price is exactly the paid ones, also when the shopper mixes variants.

Before it goes live: when you publish, the editor lists anything that would stop the bundle from showing or promise less than it says — no products picked, an empty box, a gift or upsell with no product, a set with only one product. You can fix it or publish anyway.

Two bundles on one product: a bundle you picked the product for always shows there; a bundle set to all products shows on every other product.

The discount displayed in the bundle widget is the same discount applied automatically at checkout, ensuring a consistent shopping experience for your customers.

Spend & save across the whole cart

In Settings → Spend & save you can add an order-level ladder, for example spend $100, save 10%; spend $150, save 15%. It covers the whole cart, not only bundled products, and the widget and cart show how far the next step is. Free items the app added do not count towards the total.

Stack with bundle savings — Off (default): an item that is already in a bundle gets whichever saving is bigger, and a box or set sold at a bundle price keeps that price. On: the spend saving is taken off the bundle price as well — 20% bundle + 10% spend = 28% off that item.

Combining with your other discounts

Under Settings → Discounts choose whether bundle prices combine with your own product, order and shipping discounts.

✨ Add-on Features

Enhance your bundle offers with additional features available in the bundle editor. Enable these options to create more engaging shopping experiences and increase conversions.

• Volume Discount — Offer additional discounts when customers purchase multiple items.
• Countdown Timer — Create urgency by displaying a live countdown timer in the bundle widget.
• Scratch-off — Add an interactive reveal experience where shoppers unlock a special offer.
• Checkbox Upsells — Add optional products or upgrades that shoppers can include with one click.
• Progressive Gifts — Reward customers with free gifts as they reach higher quantities.
• Sticky Add to Cart — Keep the add-to-cart button visible while customers scroll through the page.
• Free gift & free shipping on a tier — Give a gift product or free shipping with a chosen tier. Both leave the cart again if the shopper drops below the tier.
• Highlights — Short check-mark lines under a tier, such as "Free shipping" or "Best for gifting".
• Personalisation — A text field for names, initials or an engraving, free or for an extra charge you set.
• Gift message & extras — Ask for a gift message, a delivery date or a wrap choice. Answers are saved on the order and print on the packing slip.
• Subscribe & save — Offer the bundle as a subscription using the plans already on the product, from ZS Subscriptions or any subscription app.
• Offers in the cart — With the ZS Bundles cart app embed on, the cart and cart drawer show rewards a shopper is close to and one-click extras.
• Frequently bought together — Suggestions under the bundle, counted from your own paid orders (Settings → Frequently bought together).
• Thank-you page — Add the ZS Bundles block to the thank-you page in the checkout editor to suggest products that complete the order.

🎨 Styling

Customize the appearance of your bundle widget from the Style section. Adjust the layout, corner radius, spacing, colors, and typography to match your store’s design.

For advanced customization, enable Custom CSS and add your own styling rules.

All changes are updated instantly in the live preview, so you can see exactly how the bundle widget will look on your storefront.

🌐 Translations

ZS Bundles supports multiple languages, allowing you to customize the text displayed in your bundle widgets for different shoppers.

There are two translation options:

• Global Translations — Manage store-wide text from the Translations page in the app sidebar. These changes apply across all bundles.
• Per-Bundle Translations — Customize text for a specific bundle by opening the bundle editor and selecting Translations.

To add translations, choose a language from the dropdown, enter the translated text for each original string, and click Save.

🗣️ App languages

The ZS Bundles app itself is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Turkish and Portuguese (Brazil). It opens in the language of your Shopify admin — change it under your Shopify account's Preferred language and the app follows. Text you write yourself (bundle names, tier titles) stays as you typed it.

📊 Analytics

Track the performance of your bundle offers with detailed insights from the Analytics page.

View important metrics for each bundle, including views, conversions, conversion rate, average order value, and additional revenue generated.

Use the date range filter (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or all time) to identify trends and understand which offers are performing best.

💳 Plans & Billing

Every plan includes all bundle types. Plans differ in how many bundle orders (orders that include one of your bundles) you can take each calendar month, and in the extras around the offer. Paid plans have a 7-day free trial and are billed through Shopify in USD.
